Social media investigations
What people post can matter as much as what they say under oath. We find it, connect it to the right person, and preserve it properly before it disappears.
UpdatedWhat we look for
- Public profiles tied to a name, username, email address or phone number.
- Secondary or anonymous accounts and the links between them.
- Posts, photos and check-ins that contradict a claim, such as an injury claim or a sworn statement.
- Online harassment: identifying who is likely behind an account, where the evidence supports it.
- Connections between people, businesses and accounts.
Preserved so it holds up
Posts get edited and deleted. We capture what we find with dates, times and source links, and record how we found it, so an attorney or an employer has something more reliable than a screenshot on a phone.
The limits
We work with publicly available information and lawful research tools. We do not log in to other people's accounts, guess passwords or use fake friend requests to get behind privacy settings. If information is private, the lawful route to it is usually a subpoena, and we can tell your attorney what to ask for.
Questions people ask
Can you find out who runs an anonymous account?
Sometimes. Patterns in writing, photos, timing and linked accounts often point to a person, but we only report what the evidence supports, and we will tell you how confident we are.
Can you get into a private profile?
No. Accessing a private account without permission is illegal. We work with what is public, and when private data matters, your attorney can seek it through the courts.
Who uses social media investigations?
Individuals dealing with harassment or infidelity, attorneys preparing for litigation, and employers and insurers checking claims. The work is the same: find it, verify it and preserve it.
